Don't buy EcchiArt too! The Otaku Box Steals Art from Artists

Just a little disclaimer that this post will contain 18+ content, so if you're not okay with seeing anime tiddies and a bit of hentai I'd stop reading now! ** UPDATE **: The Otaku Box has now blocked caitaron, further showing how scummy they are  https://twitter.com/caitaron/status/1284169185908551680 EcchiArt By The Otaku Box In case you're not as crazy a follower of The Otaku Box as I am, let me fill you in with what's happened in the past few months. Liz has started a new digital subscription service called " EcchiArt ", promising lots of ecchi (lewd) artwork among other things. Honestly their marketing has been a mess, they've been promising so much and under-delivering in pretty much every way possible. But the main thing that caught my eye was how Liz advertised the product as "supporting independent artists". Shipping issues, a rough launch to their new terrible digital art service and people calling them out for fake figures, terrible service and delays. Here is a new post to further drive home how rubbish the box is, and why you should avoid it! One thing I'd like to point out is that Liz is now asking  $20 US dollars  for the figure add-on! I just don't get it, the whole point that is meant to make them different to other sites like LootAnime and Akibento was the "figure in every box". So you have to pay for a subscription box, that has mediocre merch compared to com

Unlicensed Figures of The Otaku Box

Albedo by caitaron ; what The Otaku Box used to make their unlicensed figure If you've read my previous posts you will have seen that The Otaku Box has a habit of including bootleg figures in their boxes. More specifially, these are low-quality imitations figures that were manufactured legitimately by a Japanese companies like Banpresto or Good Smile.

The Otaku Box "Unboxed": March 2020

Otaku Box March 2020 art by  caitaron First up a bit of background about The Otaku Box . I originally found out about the box after stumbling on YouTuber  AnimePlz123 (he's really great, and you should check him out if you're into figure collecting), he had an unboxing video of this "hentai" subscription box. The first thing that immediately caught my eye was the bootleg Jeanne D'Arc figure that they included.
